Description

Macdonough Hall is one of the oldest buildings on the SUNY Plattsburgh campus. It is a red brick Georgian, four-story, H-shaped building housing both men and women and divided into east and west wings.

The first floor houses the community director's office, the hall office and a spacious main lounge with kitchen and television lounge with piano, pool and ping pong tables.

Vending machines are conveniently located in the lower level lobby and a bike room is located near the west service entrance. Also on the lower level are a large study lounge and a computer lab.

Washers and dryers are conveniently located on both east and west wings, with all floors being serviced by elevators and newly renovated kitchenettes.

During the renovation, three automotive charging stations were installed in the east side parking area for charging electric cars.

Behind Macdonough Hall are lighted tennis courts and a recreational field that is used for a multitude of activities.

Memorial Hall, which houses the gym and fitness center, is nearby.

The picturesque Saranac River Trail is a nice venue for biking, jogging or a refreshing walk.
