Large private bedroom with lots of natural light, wood floors, high ceilings, and closet space. The room is furnished with a desk and bookcase. It is currently used as an office and occasional guest room with an airbed. This is a private single bedroom in a fully furnished, 1-bath, 3-bedroom apartment. The kitchen, living room, and bathroom are common areas and fully accessible. The kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, and there is a pantry for food storage. The living room is spacious and comfortable.
The space will be shared with a Columbia University student working to complete his master's degree and a working professional (female). Also, I occassionally travel for work.
The apartment is on the 6th floor of an elevator building at the heart of Harlem, with easy access to subway trains: A, B, C, D, and 2/3, as well as buses, taxis, etc. One block west is Harlem’s Restaurant Row. Federick Douglas Blvd is speckled with a diverse and vibrant restaurant and bar community (i.e., Harlem Tavern, Lido, Awaze Ethiopian, and many more). Cafes, delis, banks, and 24-hour pharmacy/convenience stores are all steps away.
Grocery stores are conveniently located; Aldi and Brooklyn’s own Lincoln Market are steps away. The Whole Foods Market and Trader Joe’s are on Harlem’s historic 125th Street. Magnificent Summer and Fall mornings can be enjoyed at any one of Harlem’s parks, every minute away (i.e., Marcus Garvey Memorial Park, Morningside Park, and Central Park. Columbia University's main campus is an eight-minute walk, and City College is just a ten-minute subway ride.
The ideal person is clean, mature, respectful, and a non-smoker.
This is NOT a hotel-type sublet.
Female preferred. Male considered.
