We are looking to rent our studio apartment on the ground-level of our home through the end of the 2025 Spring Semester (May or June 2025). This apartment has been well kept and continually renovated, and it has a valid Certificate of Occupancy, as well as a current Certificate of Housing Code Compliance from the Durham Fire Department.
This is an accessory apartment space attached to a large single-family residence within walking distance of UNH campus. While close to campus, the neighborhood where we are located is very quiet and family oriented. It is ideal for someone who is looking to be close to campus, but who wants a quieter residential neighborhood, removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown/campus.
The apartment consists of approximately 600 square feet of living space, a separate entrance from the rest of the house, its own kitchen and bath, and a working fireplace (for use on the coldest of winter days). It comes fully furnished, and all utilities, as well as wi-fi are included. Our home is very conveniently located to UNH, just over a 15-minute walk to the Hamel Recreation/Whittemore Center. Also included is an off-street parking space for 1 vehicle.
Any interested party should be aware that upstairs in the rest of the house resides myself, my wife, and my 2 children presently 9 and 12 years old. Whomever lives downstairs will have to be mindful of that. We try our best to minimize noise and to be considerate, but kids will be kids. Also, we own 3 cats, and while they wouldn’t have access to the apartment, anyone with allergies should be on notice. A refundable $650 security/damage deposit will be due in concert with an executed lease agreement.
As previously noted, the apartment is in a quiet, comfortable neighborhood, and for those who value peace and tranquility, is a great alternative to living in a large apartment complex downtown. You are close enough to campus, but not too close that you can't escape it.
If you are interested in learning more about the apartment or hope to schedule a time to view it, please reach out to me (Eric) to express interest. The apartment is available to rent immediately, so my hope is to have it occupied in February.
