We are seeking a housemate to share our home in west Davis.
About the room and home: One furnished bedroom in quiet upstairs portion of our home (Our family bedrooms and living space are downstairs. You would share the upstairs with an office/guest room.) The room includes a queen bed, desk and chair, large comfy chair, nightstand, and chest of drawers. The bedroom has a large walk-in style closet. Bathroom has tub, shower, toilet, and double sink, it is not private but rarely used by others.
Our spacious home is on a large lot in a quiet west Davis neighborhood. You would have kitchen and laundry access as well as indoor and outdoor communal spaces such as living room and outdoor patio and lawn are included. Our home has vegetable, herb, and native gardens. Monthly cleaning services, utilities (within reason) and Wi-Fi are included as well as membership to the Stonegate country club.
About us: We are a family of three humans- two adults and one teenager, and two cats. We are a vegetarian household and enjoy a healthy and active lifestyle. We are politically progressive and try to live environmentally responsibly. We enjoy cooking, music, movies, hiking, biking, horseback riding and going on road trips. We have been renting this room for the past thirteen years to UCD graduate and college students and really enjoy having a housemate.
About you: We are looking for a mature and responsible person with a healthy lifestyle, who enjoys a balance between socializing and quiet alone time. We would like to find someone who enjoys taking care of pets and plants and will pay for housesitting when we are away.
Rental details: $900 monthly rent, with a 9 month or year lease. First, last and $500 cleaning deposit are due at time of move-in. We ask for two references. This is for a single occupancy and not suitable for a couple or any additional pets. This is a no smoking household. Car parking is on the street.
