Activities in Athens, GA

For University of Georgia students,  attending sports games are one of the top, if not the top, things to do on campus! Grab your black and red gear, tailgate, and help cheer on the Bulldogs at Sanford Stadium, Stegeman Coliseum or Spec Towns Track. On campus, students really like getting involved in the never-ending activities and clubs to join. Since UGA borders Downtown Athens, students often head there to hang out with each other and shop, eat, drink, or just stroll the streets. Athens has a lot to offer students and there are tons of things to explore off-campus. For nature lovers, the State Botanical Gardens and the Sandy Creek Nature Center are two great places to visit. Students can spend a day at the Bear Hollow Zoo or visiting the Georgia Museum of Arts.
