With a population of just about 14,000, SUNY Oneonta has a perfect small-town college vibe to it. Campus is north of the city center, but travel south just a few minutes and you’ll find Main Street, where lots of action happens. Things To Do in Oneonta, NY

If you’re looking to do something outdoors, why not check out the historic Damashke Field? It’s hosted some of the most famous baseball players in history, including Babe Ruth and Rogers Hornsby. Now it’s home to the Oneonta Outlaws, a team in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

If you’re not a sports fan but still want something to do outdoors, consider joining the SUNY Oneonta Outdoor Adventure Club. They regularly take students on day and night trips to the surrounding area, and also sponsor workshops and host speakers from time to time! Otherwise, take a stroll through either Neahwa Park or Wilber Park and enjoy the fresh air that this college town has to offer.
