If you were interested in getting more involved with student life, head over to The Atwood Memorial Center and join all kinds of different student involvement programs. Otherwise you can cheer on your fellow St. Cloud State Blizzards and attend a sporting event. More specifically you should go watch a hockey game because SCSU hockey is D1 so that makes things much more interesting to watch. If you aren't a fan of hockey you should give it a try because it is VERY popular here.
Like lots of college campuses, St. Cloud State has a lot of chain restaurants in its vicinity. But if you're looking to dine at one of St. Cloud's local gems, there are many options for you. St. Cloud has also got a pretty good bar scene not too far away from campus. There are restaurants and bars walking distance from campus but you might have to Uber to some other cool places in St. Cloud. Are you more of an outdoorsy person? No worries, St Cloud State has many options for you as well. Riverside Park is across the bridge from campus and it offers an 18-hole disc golf course. St Cloud actually has 93 parks that you and your friends can hike, bike, and adventure through. One of the coolest outdoor things to do is to hit up Quarry Park & Nature Preserve and go swimming, rock climbing, or scuba diving. How fun is that?
