When Should You Start Your OU Apartment Search? 

Since Athens is a pretty small town, you won’t have too much trouble finding great Ohio University rentals. Out of all the housing types of Athens off-campus housing, house rentals usually rent first. If you’ve got your heart set on living in a house near Ohio University, you’ll want to start searching before August.  

Apartments start filling up towards the end of August to the start of September. If you’re looking for an apartment, you have a little more time, but don’t wait too long! By mid-to-late fall, most Ohio University apartments will be leased.
