Renting in Boston isn’t cheap. Along with tuition, kids are scraping by each month to make rent. Having a job while juggling classes is almost necessary for most students. To save some extra dough each month, try and find a few roommates to live with. This can save you a significant amount of money versus living alone. Leaving your car back at home puts more money in your pocket. Everything in Boston is easily accessible by foot or “The T” subway. The larger housing units typically fill first so don’t wait. You snooze you lose!

Discover the history of the American Revolution and be sure to walk Freedom Trail. Boston Tours offer Free Tours By Foot, so take some time and see where it all began. There is a path called Esplanade that lies along the Charles River. Head there with friends and rent a sailboat for the day. Get your heart pumping and join in on some of the many runs and races. Start with the Freedom Trail Run and work your way up to the Boston Marathon.
Looking for the ultimate college experience? Boston is a city of students and ranked as the biggest college town in the nation. Northeastern Students work hard, play hard, and relax hard.
The campus is located in the heart of Boston so there is plenty to do. Sports are huge here! Northeastern offers kids the chance to play and cheer on their many D-1 Huskies sports teams. Boston has several pro teams too, so hop on “The T” and catch the Boston Red Sox, Celtics, or Bruins play. Get involved in one of the hundreds of campus clubs or join a frat/sorority.
All NU students have access to the Museum of Fine Arts, so take a day for a visit. Shop amongst celebrities and pro athletes on Newbury Street. There is totally something in this city to appease its diverse population, so get out there and explore this historical town!
