Boise is a vibrant city full of museums, historic sites, and many serene outdoor parks, many of which students can visit for free. Spend a day at Zoo Boise, visit the Boise Art Museum, or stroll through the gardens of the Idaho Botanical Garden. Take in sweeping views on the Oregon Trail, or walk the riverside trail at the Boise Greenbelt River. If you like skiing, snowboarding, and mountain biking, make sure to take a weekend trip to Bogus Basin. Outdoors and Recreation at Boise State 

All Boise State students have access to the Boise State Recreation Center where they can utilize the fitness center, running track, multiple indoor and outdoor sports courts, swimming pool, 

climbing wall, and more! Here, students can join in on open rec sports or join a club or intramural team. The Rec Center also throws several events and hosts group fitness classes, so be sure to check out their events calendar often!  

The Boise State Recreation Center organizes outdoor adventure trips and team building activities that are available to all BSU students. These include shorter day trips, like a full moon snowshoe hike at the Boise National Forest, or overnight trips to the hot springs at Lowman. The Rec Center also has an outdoor rental center where students can rent everything they would need to enjoy the day kayaking or have a full-on camping and backpacking weekend experience.
