Sports are a big deal around the UK campus. Even if you’re not on an official team, there are tons of intramural sports to get involved in! Flag football, street soccer, and softball are just a few of the many intramural sports options offered on the UK campus.

Red River Gorge is a popular destination for UK students who have their sights set off-campus and want to explore the great outdoors. Head there on your own for a day, or join in on one of the many Adventure Trips offered through the University. At Red River Gorge, trips include hiking, rock climbing, and sightseeing. More trips are offered to partake in activities like caving at the Marengo Caves in Indiana or backpacking the Smokey Mountains in Tennessee.

Things To Do in Lexington, KY

If you’re a UK student, you probably attend Wildcat Basketball games like it’s your religion! If you haven’t been to a game, we highly suggest you grab your blue and white gear and hit the courts at the Rupp Arena to see what all the fuss is about. Football is big too, so make sure you join in on all the Caturday festivities whenever you can.

The UK campus is in Downtown Lexington, putting students minutes away from the fun! During racing season, the most popular pastime is heading to Keeneland to watch and bet on the horse races. If you’re looking to set your sights off-campus and away from the city, then a trip to Red River Gorge is for you. It’s the perfect place to go for a hike and, for a few hours, take your mind off of school.
