Outdoors/Recreation at Madison Area Technical College

The Madison College Recreation and Fitness Center is a very popular spot for students to engage in numerous activities together. Students can partake in intramural sports teams, from golf to baseball and everything in between. Madison College students also have access to the many indoor and outdoor sports courts and fields, the aquatics center with an indoor swimming pool, a newly remodeled fitness facility that includes cardio and weight training equipment, and a team-building ropes challenge course!

Students can enjoy the changing seasons that Madison has year-long. When the weather is nice, heading to Lake Mendota is a must! Here, you can swim, fish, boat, and soak up the sun with friends or a good book. Students can also stroll the grounds of the University of Wisconsin Arboretum, camp at Lake Kegonsa State Park, and enjoy the nature trails leading to the beach at Governor Nelson State Park.
