To help maintain a healthy lifestyle, Kutztown University students can become members at the Student Recreation Center which gives them access to a fitness center, several sports courts including racquetball, dance and yoga studios, indoor track, juice bar, jacuzzis, and a rock climbing wall, just to name a handful of membership perks on the list.

Students also have the option of joining several different intramural teams at different levels, making it fun and accessible for everyone! Another great attraction is the nearby Crystal Cave, which is a “must-do” for anyone looking to explore the nearby area. Heading to one of the many parks is a great way to clear your head and relax. North Park is a popular area, where you can sit beside the creek or walk the many trails and soak up the scenery.

Things to Do In Kutztown, PA

The students of Kutztown University are highly active both on and off campus. Whether that means joining an organization, such as becoming a member of Greek Life or joining an intramural sports team, there’s plenty to get involved in on campus. Speaking of sports, it’ll probably come as no surprise that football is popular on campus!

You can catch the majority of Kutztown students cheering on the Bears at all the home games. Students will also tell you nothing beats the annual Bear Fest, where everyone comes together for a carnival of fun to close out the year. If you head off-campus, Main Street is the place to be. It’s the center of all the hustle and bustle, with several shops, restaurants, and bars for the students to hang out at. Sittler’s is great mini-golfing and ice cream joint, and whether you come out on top as the mini-golfing champ or end up dead last at the bottom, their selection of 24 ice cream flavors means everyone wins. If you’re a wine connoisseur or looking to learn more about wine, Folino Estate, Pinnacle Ridge and Blair Vineyards are great places to sample locally grown wine.
