Things To On & Off-Campus

Taking a break to relax and hang out with friends after studying is important for students in Cheney. Eastern Washington University may be located in the small town of Cheney but students pride themselves in their big school spirit. During the fall you can catch nearly all EWU students singing the Eagles Fight Song at RED Field cheering on the football team.

If you aren’t a football fan, there are tons of organizations to get involved with on campus! Whether it be Greek Life, hockey club, or student council there are endless clubs and extracurricular activities that students can involve themselves in.

Each year, EWU students look forward to the Spring Concert where they get the opportunity to see a popular artist right on campus. At the past two concerts, students were excited to see Andy Grammer and Macklemore. Other on-campus events include movies behind the library, laser tag, and zip-lining!

If you’re looking to get off-campus, Washington’s second-largest city, Spokane, is just a few miles away. Often times students head into the city to shop and go out on the town. The Spokane-Cheney area is the perfect mix of urban and country vibes.
