Five of the Most Instagrammable Spots in Tucson

It’s been said that there are three versions of you. We don’t know who said that, but they said it and they are wrong. According to Dr. Dolly Parton and her breakthroughs in human psychology, there are actually four versions of you: The LinkedIn You, Facebook You, The Tinder You, and more importantly – The Instagram You.

The Instagram You is the best version of yourself. It’s the version of you that makes everyone think you’re living your best life 24/7 … when in actuality most of the time you’re as hungover and lost as the rest of us. But in the spirit of keeping the illusion going, we’ve created a list of the best spots in Tucson to snap a few pics for your Gram (when you’re not looking for an apartment near the University of Arizona.)

  1. The University of Arizona Campus
Location: The University of Arizona | Tucson, Arizona 85721
The University of Arizona campus is a great backdrop for any quick photoshoot. Not to mention that this venue is huge, which means there will be tons of unique places for you to try out. The great thing about this option is that there’s no entry fee cost for you to walk around campus and pose for pics … well, no cost outside of tuition.
  2. Tucson Botanical Gardens
Location: 2150 N Alvernon Way, Tucson, AZ 85712
It shouldn’t be a surprise that a place dedicated to inspiring people through the beauty of nature would be on our list of places to snap a photo. There is a small fee to get into the Tucson Botanical Gardens – but as long as you have your student ID, you can get a discounted price. TIP: Don’t pose too close to any of the plants, or else that weird stranger on Facebook won’t be the only one poking you.
  3. Greetings From Tucson Mural
    Location: E 7th St & N Arizona Ave, Tucson, AZ 85705
Need a pop of color on your Instagram feed to liven up all the montone night out selfies? Then you should stop by the “The Greetings From Tucson” Mural. Not only is this mural a pop of color, but it’s also a pop of the Tucson culture.
  4. Tucson Museum of Art
Location: 140 N Main Ave, Tucson, AZ 85701
The white concrete walls, industrial style, and countless pieces of famous works of art make the Tucson Museum of Art a great spot for a photoshoot! Tip: Check in with any museum official about the rules on photography inside before you start snapping pics.
  5. Literally Any Pool
Location: 1725 N Park Ave Tucson, AZ 85719

Here’s the good news about pool pics: They are cool pics. And here’s the bad news about pool pics: Most pools aren’t open to the public … that’s you, the public. But don’t let that stop you! You could either A.) Hop the fence and live on the dangerous side, or you could B.) Rent a place near the U of A that has a pool … Just saying.

There are obviously a ton of other great places in Tucson near the University of Arizona that would be great for Instagram photoshoots – if you think you know of a place that should be on the list, comment where it is below!
